Understanding Shippit’s Christmas shipping deadlines
Most retailers offer a range of delivery options (and if you don't, you should!), including Standard, Express, Priority, Same Day, and On Demand services. These options vary based on location and customer preferences. It’s crucial to let your costumes know well ahead of time your shipping cutoffs to ensure they receive their orders in time for the holidays.
Australia
Same city shipping
- Standard: The last recommended shipping date for same-city deliveries within Australia is Monday, December 18th, with a minimum of 4 days for delivery.
- Express: If you opt for express shipping, the cutoff date is Tuesday, 19 December, with a minimum of 3 days for delivery.
- Priority Same day, On demand: For those who have really left it to the last minute, the deadline is Friday, 22 December before 10 AM, or Friday, 22 December before 2 PM.
East to East Coast
- Standard: To send parcels from the east to the east coast, the last recommended shipping date is Tuesday, 12 December, with a minimum of 8 days for delivery.
- Express: If you prefer express shipping, the cutoff date is Monday, 18 December, with a minimum of 4 days for delivery.
East to West Coast
- Standard: For deliveries from the east to the west coast of Australia, the cutoff date is Friday, 8 December, with a minimum of 10 days for delivery.
- Express: If you choose express shipping, the deadline is Friday, 15 December, with a minimum of 5 days for delivery
International Ex AU
AU – NZ
- Standard: To send parcels from Australia to New Zealand, the last recommended shipping date is Monday, 11 December, with a minimum of 9 days for delivery.
- Express: If you opt for express shipping, the cutoff date is Thursday, 14 December, with a minimum of 6 days for delivery.
AU – US
- Standard: For shipments from Australia to the United States, the last recommended shipping date is Friday, 8 December, with a minimum of 10 days for delivery.
- Express: If you prefer express shipping, the deadline is Wednesday, 13 December, with a minimum of 7 days for delivery.
New Zealand
Domestic NZ
- Standard: Within New Zealand, the last recommended shipping date is Friday, 15 December, with a minimum of 5 days for delivery.
- Express: If you opt for express shipping, the cutoff date is Thursday, 14 December, with a minimum of 6 days for delivery.
Singapore
Domestic SG
- Standard: For deliveries within Singapore, the last recommended shipping date is Wednesday, 20 December, with a minimum of 2 days for delivery.
SG to SE Asia
- Standard: To send parcels from Singapore to Southeast Asia, the last recommended shipping date is Thursday, 14 December, with a minimum of 6 days for delivery.
SG to AU & NZ
- Standard: For shipments from Singapore to Australia and New Zealand, the last recommended shipping date is Thursday, 14 December, with a minimum of 6 days for delivery.
SG to US
- Standard: If you’re sending parcels from Singapore to the United States, the last recommended shipping date is Wednesday, 6 December, with a minimum of 12 days for delivery.
Key dates and considerations

During the holiday season, both Shippit and its partnered carriers will be closed for local public holidays between December 2024 and January 2025. In addition:
- Pickup services between 27-29 December 2024, may experience limitations and potential delays.
- Customer support teams will have reduced availability for delivery support between 27-29 December 2024.
